My name is Staysha. I am one of the creators behind Dandy Fields Collective. We are a family-run collective. We share our unique and individual styles through our art, making designs for several different types of humans, from the classic vintage to the modern eclectic to the mom boss. We bring vibes to represent many lifestyles.
Our family has experienced a life colored by love, pain, laughter, trauma, joy, tears, and hope. We are a family of blood and love.
Many years ago, I was a victim of human trafficking. Shawna, my mom, refused to give up hope that our family's love would be strong enough to be the safe harbor I needed to leave the hold my trafficker had on me. It took many years of trial and error before I believed in myself enough to start the path of healing. When I did leave that life, I knew she was right. I knew my family would be there for me no matter what lies I believed about myself.
Dandy Fields is born out of this story. Not only are Dandelions prolific where they bloom, but they are also a symbol of rebirth. I was lucky enough to have many siblings (biological, step, half, adopted, and married) that blessed my life with a brood of niblings who continue to be the strength when mine may be lacking. My family welcomed me back home with so much love and support that I was able to thrive throughout my journey of healing.
